The company Autoservice Andreas Klug in Ochsenfurt, a small town in Würzburg in Lower Franconia, heats 2 halls (600 m³ & 350 m³) with the economical Puls-air heating system from Austria.

The perfect heating system for workshops and halls

What is important in a heating system for workshops and halls?

1) The room must become warm, or it must become warm where work is being carried out. First things first, it has to get warm. In many workshops and halls, the mistake is made that ceiling fans are used at higher room heights and the lighter warm air often does not reach the bottom and collects under the ceiling. Puls-air is positioned on the floor of the room to be heated. The warm air is released at the bottom, where the work is carried out, and the workers never have cold feet again while working.

2) Low installation effort. The owner of Autoservice Andreas Klug, Mr. Klug, reports that the Puls-air heater requires little effort to set up. The heater is delivered completely ready for operation, is only 75 x 55 x 95 cm in size and weighs only 75 kg. The only thing that needs to be done is to route the exhaust gas via a 35 mm stainless steel pipe (no separate chimney) to the outside via the roof. In addition, the manufacturer recommends connecting to a larger heating oil tank via an 8 mm copper pipe and non-return valve. A 20 l tank is supplied, so the compact heater is ready for immediate use.

3) Low heating costs
The placement on the floor and the resulting perfect heat distribution, as well as the patented pulsating combustion with an efficiency of at least 97 % save heating costs. This is not a direct current combustion, but an alternating current combustion in which an oscillating gas column is created in the combustion chamber that changes direction 62 times a second. This creates many individual small explosions. Firstly, the explosions result in very complete combustion with very good exhaust gas values. Secondly, each explosion is accompanied by a pressure wave and a sound wave, which means additional heat that has to be added to the efficiency.

4) No noise and odor
No exhaust gas is released into the room air, as is the case with various other heating systems. "My employees and I appreciate the indoor climate created by the Puls-air heating. Another positive aspect is that the heating runs quietly," says Mr. Klug. With a running noise of 57 dBa, measured in a reference room, everyone who regularly works in the workshop raves about it. Long-term exposure to noise can have an impact on health and lead to various impairments such as headaches or hearing loss.

The right heating for all workshops and halls

There are 2 models of Puls-air. Puls-air Standard up to 600 m³ and Puls-air Plus up to 1,800 m³. Both values with very good insulation. For larger rooms, several devices can also be used in combination.

Why is pulse air so much more economical?

With conventional ceiling fans, a lot of heat is lost through long pipes. Heating large quantities of water in the boiler also requires a lot of energy. In addition, conventional oil burners have poor efficiency. With Puls-air, the efficiency is 97 %, which means that almost all the fuel that is introduced is converted into heat. In addition, Puls-air stands on the floor of the room to be heated, releases the warm air where it is being used and creates a slowly rotating thermal air roll in the room. The air is not always heated from 0, but is drawn through the heater again and again, preheated.

Running noise and dust exposure

GF Schinagl also notices positively that the running noise of Puls-air is much more pleasant and that much less dust is whirled up than with the ceiling fans.
