From ceiling fan to economical pulse-air workshop heater

Lower heating costs

"Values instead of words". This is the slogan of Autohaus Wirth in Wildflecken, Bavaria. Vehicles have been repaired and sold since 1960. In 1986, Wirth became an authorized Toyota workshop. In this report, owner Hans-Jürgen Wirt shares his experiences with the Puls-air workshop heating system from Austria.

Heating costs down significantly

Since the fall of 2022, Mr. Wirth has been heating the entire service hall with a Puls-air heater. Before that, the space was heated with three ceiling fans. Wirth explains that heating costs have dropped dramatically since then. The ceiling fans used a lot of energy and heating oil. In addition, quite a bit of heat is lost through the many pipes. The physically unfavorable positioning of the blowers on the ceiling of the hall also leads to higher heating costs. Often, the warm air even has to be pushed down with additional fans against the physics. At the ceiling are mostly sauna temperatures and downstairs the employees are freezing. With Puls-air, the warm air is physically more sensible released directly in the floor area, where work is done.

Perfect heat distribution

You don't have to be a physicist to know that warm air is lighter than cold air and therefore rises. This is exactly the effect that Puls-air takes advantage of. As already described, the warm air is released in the floor area. After it has distributed itself there, this rises slowly, cools down at the top again, sinks again and is turned over again and again preheated by the heater. As Puls-air describes it, "A slowly rotating thermal air roll is created in the room." The result is an optimal and heating cost-saving distribution of heat in the room. No more cold feet when working in winter. "Since we have been heating with Puls-air, we have had much less drafts in the service hall," adds Mr. Wirth.

Patented pulsating combustion

With an efficiency of 97 %, the patented pulsating combustion converts almost all the fuel supplied into heat. In combination with the described heat distribution, this saves heating costs. A positive side effect of pulsating combustion is excellent exhaust gas values.

Low noise

"The noise level has improved significantly thanks to Puls-air. The ceiling fans were significantly louder," says Wirth.

Simple commissioning

The Puls-air heater is delivered on a Europlate. For commissioning, only the exhaust gas, via 35 mm stainless steel pipe, must be routed outdoors via the roof. 2 models are offered: Puls-air Standard up to 600 m³ and Puls-air Plus for 1,800 m³. (Both values with good insulation). For larger halls or workshops, 2 or more units can also be used in combination.

Self-amortizing

Due to the enormous heating cost savings, the Puls-air workshop and hall heating pays for itself after just a few years. Especially now, when costs are rising in all areas, it is important to heat efficiently and economically. Puls-air is an investment for the future, the oldest heaters have already been running for over 30 years.

The other advantages of the Puls-air workshop and hall heating:

  • Low maintenance costs
  • Perfect heat distribution
  • Made in Austria with German components
