Bei Automobile Gierer e.U. in Liebenau/Oberösterreich wird mit der heizölbetriebenen Heizung des Tiroler Herstellers Puls-air geheizt.
Puls-air ist seit 1984 am Markt und zählt bis heute zur sparsamsten Heizung für gewerbliche Flächen wie größere Hallen, Werkstätten und sonstige industriell genutzte Räume. Bei der patentierten und Staatspreis ausgezeichneten pulsierenden Verbrennung entsteht viel Wärme bei geringem Heizölverbrauch.
Die pulsierende Verbrennung ist anders als die herkömmliche Gleichstromverbrennung normaler Ölbrenner. In der Brennkammer entsteht eine schwingende Gassäule die über 60-Mal in der Sekunde die Richtung ändert. Dabei treffen Abgas- und Frischlufttreibstoff-Moleküle immer wieder aufeinander, was zu vielen einzelnen kleinen Explosionen führt. Es entsteht eine zusätzliche Wärme, optimal zum Heizen. Positiver Nebeneffekt: Die äußerste Schicht der Abgasmoleküle wird zerstört, was zu einer rußfreien Verbrennung führt und die Geräte wartungsfrei macht.
Puls-air is so compact that it is delivered on a Euro pallet. Dimensions approx. 75 x 5 5x 95 at 75 kg. The exhaust gas is routed outside via the roof using a 35 mm stainless steel pipe. No separate chimney is required! The manufacturer recommends connecting the appliance to a larger tank. All in all, Puls-air is very easy to put into operation and the clean combustion means that maintenance costs are close to zero. You can carry out minor service work yourself.
At just 57 dBa, measured in a reference room, Puls-air is a whispering concert compared to other heating solutions. This is also confirmed by Mr. Hawle, who can easily compare Puls-air with his previous cannon heater. The owner also reports that Puls-air does not produce any odors. All exhaust gases are discharged into the open air via an exhaust pipe that is only 35 mm thick. There is no odor in the room - even the exhaust gas that is led outside does not smell of anything. Puls-air has excellent exhaust gas values (see website) and a soot number of 00.
As the pulsating combustion is residue-free, no maintenance work is required. It is recommended to change the fuel nozzle according to the manufacturer's interval, this can be done in 2 minutes and can be done by yourself. This means that there are no costs for customer service, which charges a considerable amount for the journey.
Puls-air was awarded the Austrian State Prize for Energy Research and the Environment and the Bavarian State Prize for Special Technical Achievements in Craftsmanship.

There are 2 models of Puls-air. Puls-air Standard up to 600 m³ and Puls-air Plus up to 1,800 m³. Both values with very good insulation. For larger rooms, several devices can also be used in combination.
With conventional ceiling fans, a lot of heat is lost through long pipes. Heating large quantities of water in the boiler also requires a lot of energy. In addition, conventional oil burners have poor efficiency. With Puls-air, the efficiency is 97 %, which means that almost all the fuel that is introduced is converted into heat. In addition, Puls-air stands on the floor of the room to be heated, releases the warm air where it is being used and creates a slowly rotating thermal air roll in the room. The air is not always heated from 0, but is drawn through the heater again and again, preheated.
GF Schinagl also notices positively that the running noise of Puls-air is much more pleasant and that much less dust is whirled up than with the ceiling fans.
