50 % of heating cost savings
Angelo Zeiter, Managing Director of Fahrzeugcenter Goms, describes how he has been heating his workshop efficiently and with minimum effort for over 6 years.
In 2016, Mr. Zeiter became managing director of the Goms vehicle center in Switzerland. With his current 6 employees, Zeiter repairs and services vehicles of all makes. The vehicle center also specializes in new and used car sales, as well as vehicle preparation, air conditioning service, diagnostics and classic car restorations.
When he took over in 2016, Zeiter completely rebuilt the business and set about looking for a suitable workshop heating system. He finally found what he was looking for on the internet.
After Zeiter had researched the oil-powered heater from Austria extensively on the Internet, he visited a colleague in the industry and ordered Puls-air.
Puls-air is delivered on a Euro pallet and is ready for operation in just a few steps. Zeiter made a connection to the existing heating oil tank (via 8 mm copper pipe) and led the exhaust gas (via 35 mm stainless steel pipe) through the roof to the outside. Plug in 230 V power - DONE. No additional chimney is necessary. Chimney necessary. Thanks to the 20 liter tank supplied (attached to the back of the appliance), the heater is ready for immediate use. Recommendation: Connect to a larger tank.
The aim of any workshop heating system should be to generate heat where work is carried out. Work is usually carried out in the floor area and that is where the heat should be. The Puls-air heater must therefore be placed on the floor of the room to be heated. The warm air is therefore distributed in the floor area, rises slowly after a certain time, cools down a little at the top and is sucked back in by the heater when it is preheated. The manufacturer of Puls-air calls this "a slowly rotating thermal air roller". If you compare this with a conventional ceiling fan, it is clear that the heat distribution cannot be optimal in purely physical terms. Additional energy even has to be used to transport the warm air from the ceiling to the floor area. Efficiency looks different! For these reasons, Angelo Zeiter is also very satisfied with the heat distribution in his workshop.
Puls-air only uses components from Austria and Germany. The superior quality is also mentioned by Mr. Zeiter, whose device has been working reliably from day 1 until today.
As the name suggests, pulsating combustion is built into the heater. This creates an oscillating column of gas that changes direction 63 times a second. Movement = heat. Puls-air has been using this heat for over 30 years to heat workshops and halls of all sizes. A positive side effect: the pulsating combustion achieves excellent exhaust gas values.
Independence from gas
Nobody knows exactly how the energy supply will develop. It's reassuring to have an overview of your heating oil tank, 100 % control over your heating costs and reserves.
